John Dallas Rose Garden
John Dallas has this huge rose garden above Napa off the Silverado
Trail. The garden is 25 years old according to the granddaughter, who kept showing
me her animals - a cat, two geese, and a lizard of some sort. Give me another 20
years and my garden will look like this, I hope. This was my favorite garden
on the Sunday garden tours.
June 2000 - I just learned that John Dallas recently died. He garden will be kept up by his family,
however it will no longer be open to the public. His family has started a memorial web page, which
can be seen at John's Rose Garden.
