Peach Grunt
Method:
Mix the peaches, water and sugar and stir it up. Heat to a boil and turn down to a simmer. Cook them for about 10 or 15 minutes, longer if you fancy your peaches soft. Drop the biscuits on top of the peaches, turn the heat down, and put the lid on. Leave it be for 15 or 20 minutes (depends on how thick you rolled your biscuits) when the biscuits are cooked its done. The biscuits should look light and feel springy. Serve warm with cream if you have it. You can use almost any other fruit instead of the peaches. In the wintertime it works well with canned fruit, just pour it into the pan, syrup and all, and just bring it up to a boil and down to a simmer, throw the biscuits on and proceed.
