Peach Cobbler

3/4 stick of butter
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. milk
2 tsp. Baking powder
dash of salt
1/4 tsp. butter flavoring
few drops almond extract
2 c. sliced peaches
1 c. sugar

Method:

Heat oven to 350F. Melt the butter in a 9 x 9" pan.

In a bowl, mix sugar, flour, milk, baking powder, salt, butter flavoring and almond extract. This will be a thin mixture. Pour over the melted butter---but DON'T mix.

In another bowl, mix the peaches with the sugar and spoon over the batter.

Bake for 20-25 min. The batter will puff up around the peach mixture. Best served warm with a scoop of good vanilla ice cream.
