One of Austin's newer roses, this semi-double is supposed to look like R. gallica officinallis, the Apothacary Rose. The flowers do look similar, but that is where the similarities end. It is definitely a more modern shrub, with glossy foliage, it repeat blooms, and it looks like is wants to grow big. I'm going to have to keep it trimmed back or move it to a new location. Nice rose, some fragrance.
